QiFlo Dance is a somatic dance journey into flow. Each session begins with guided sensory movement informed by Qi Exercises, Authentic Movement and The Linklater Technique to sink the mind into a more relaxed and open body, and awaken our relationship to Qi: cultivating a grounded sensitivity to the subtle rhythms of internal and universal life-force energy. From this embodied foundation, the practice unfolds into freeform movement and dance, where flow state becomes a space of creative play and authentic self-expression. Set in a safe and music-driven space, QiFlo Dance invites you to move intuitively, express freely, and explore the dynamic balance between structure and spontaneity. NO PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE NEEDED.

  • Conscious dance is a free-form movement practice that blends mindfulness, self-expression, and body awareness. It invites participants to move without choreography or judgment, using music and sensation to explore presence, release tension, and reconnect with themselves and their community.

    While contemporary in form, conscious dance draws deeply from Indigenous traditions where movement has long served as medicine, ritual, and community expression—such as the Native American Jingle Dance, the African Ngoma ceremonies, and the Filipino Babaylan rituals.

    As this practice grows, it is vital to honour the cultures and communities that have long understood dance as healing. Without recognition, these roots risk being forgotten, the people who carried them risk being unseen, and their role in the evolution of dance for healing and spirituality: erased.

    Grounded in ancestral wisdom, QiFlo honours the cultures that have danced for healing and connection. It invites movement born of awareness, gratitude, and respect for where these practices come from.

  • Conscious dance supports well-being by engaging body, mind, and emotion through free, mindful movement. It helps release stress, improve mood, and restore balance by inviting natural, expressive motion rather than set choreography.

    Participants often experience greater ease, creativity, and emotional clarity, as well as a deeper sense of presence and connection—with themselves, others, and the wider world.

    Grounded in research from movement therapy and psychology, conscious dance is recognized as a holistic practice that promotes relaxation, vitality, and belonging through the simple act of moving with awareness.

  • Every QiFlo DANCE session is a journey: an opportunity to move, feel, and reconnect. No dance experience or skill is needed. All that’s required is a willingness to move and be present.

    Arrival & Intention

    Each session begins in a softly lit space with music playing. Participants arrive quietly, grounding through breath and setting a personal intention—perhaps to release stress, reconnect with the body, or simply enjoy moving freely.

    Guided Warm-Up

    The facilitator leads a gentle warm-up to help everyone shift from thinking to feeling. This stage awakens the senses and builds connection to breath, rhythm, and group energy.

    The Dance Journey

    The music gradually builds, guiding dancers through changing tempos and emotions. Movement is entirely self-directed: some move vigorously, others sway or rest. The focus is on listening to the body, not performance.

    Non-Judgmental Space

    There are no mirrors, choreography, or expectations. Everyone moves at their own pace. The dance floor is a space of curiosity, acceptance, and respect—for self and others.

    Integration & Rest

    As the music slows, movement softens into stillness or meditation. This phase allows the body and mind to integrate, leaving participants grounded, open, and renewed.

    Community Connection

    Sessions often end with quiet reflection or a closing circle. Dancers share silence or a few words, fostering connection and shared humanity.

    In essence: expect a safe, inclusive, and deeply personal space: where movement becomes mindfulness, creativity, and healing rather than performance.

  • Each QiFlo DANCE session is a sonic journey where East meets West. Rooted in my Swiss–Filipino heritage and upbringing in Hong Kong, my sets weave Filipino and Southeast Asian textures, tracks from Asian producers, and the pulsing energy of funky grooves, spacious trip-hop atmospheres, and deep bass lines. They are a cross-cultural fusion of global and electronic sounds: deep, earthy beats layered with tribal rhythms and traditional Asian influences.

    The experience invites both focus and expansion: a chance to feel grounded yet playfully unbound, with opportunities to blissfully touch the vastness of space and time through rhythm and flow.

    At its heart, my sets are about connection, where cultures, energies, and emotions meet, inviting you to move, listen, and find your flow.
